Binance India website Binance.in can be accessed in India. Has Binance India started its operations in Bharat (India)?
Binance India Website can finally be accessed in India. The website was blocked but now it can be reached via any browser in the country. While the news is joyous, it seems that is not the case in the country.
What’s the current status with Binance.in?
Binance.in is no longer operational. Binance discontinued its services to Indian users in 2022 due to regulatory challenges.
As of August 2024, there was no indication of a change in status. The domain Binance.in displays the Hugging page, not related to Binance in any way.
Binance.in was not a legal entity, and the main Binance platform was not legally operating in India till now. There were discussions about fines and compliance issues, but recent developments indicated that Binance may be working to re-enter the Indian market in accordance with regulations.
Indian users interested in cryptocurrency trading should look into other exchange platforms that operate within the country’s regulatory framework, such as WazirX, CoinDCX, or Zebpay.
Does Binance.in became Legal in India?
Binance’s legalization in India is a completely separate story. The domain name sale has nothing to do with their legal standing. While Binance may be working on legal re-entry into India, the process is still ongoing. For the time being, the Binance India website address you were familiar with is no longer active.
Binance India’s legal status remains unchanged, and the domain name sale has no bearing on it.
What happens now?
The domain name Binance.in was sold to a different company, hugging.com. This means that the website address you previously used for Binance India is no longer theirs. It’s like moving houses: Binance.in left, and hugging.in moved in as seen below:
If Indian crypto enthusiasts want to trade cryptocurrency in India, look into local exchanges that are currently operational, such as CoinDCX or WazirX. Remember to stay up to date on official Indian government announcements to learn about the country’s legal landscape for cryptocurrency.
It does seem sad that Binance India Website was stolen away but it’s the fault of Binance India Team to either be slow to act or they are planning something else for Indian crypto investors.
